Every Stone Has a Story

                 This is about how everything in life has a story including the things that have no life in them, like a rock,  a fossil, a bolder, and even a mountain. They all have a story to be told; you just have to be patient enough to hear it. 

                 In other words don't take life lightly try to travel, sail the world, fall in love, just do what makes you happy. If you are happy there is nothing you cant do. The world around you will always welcome you, and will help you open your eyes to wonders that you have only ever dreamed of. These things might be hard to see at first and to understand, but you should always have an open mind and try to find out the story. Even if there isn't one you might find yourself on another question that you had no idea you were looking for; and find an answer that can change your life forever. 

      

I'm ANGRY...this could end badly...or not

Sometimes we get angry. Sometimes we say or do mean things without thinking too much. Here are 3 steps to help avoid letting your anger get the best of you. 

1) Be a bystander

In other words close your mouth and be a bystander of your own mind and body.

Become aware of what you are feeling and what is happening to you, both physically and psychologically. Negative thoughts may be running through your head but do not allow them to manifest verbally. Think first then act if necessary. The immediate reactions to anger are hazardous to the most valued relationships. Once you pay close attention to your anger it will usually begin to subside.

2)Occupy your mind

Think about the good. 

The negativity dwelling in your mind is like rotten fruit in a fruit basket. Your thoughts have the potential to rot other elements of your life, especially friendships.

3) Re-visit the situation

After your anger is laid to rest, approach the situation with logical intentions. This last step isn't even necessary if the situation doesn't call for confrontation.

Yoga Helped My Skateboarding

Balance throughout life is the key to a great journey.  Balance on the board is the key to executing any basic board maneuver.  Yoga has been perfect to help train the body to work harmoniously, to remain flexible, centered and ultimately increase balance.  I love this pic.  I have never tried yoga on the board but I can see it working.  Go for it.  Contact Surf, Wind and Fire about participating in a yoga session.  Come early and we always use the empty store to try some new skateboards.  Just never thought of putting the two together but I can now see the light.   

Why Yoga?

I recently started practicing yoga every morning.

 There were 3 motivations backing this decision:

1) Improving my posture

2) Focussing more on the present moment

3) Watching this video
